The Story of WillowwoodWillowwood Arboretum in Chester, New Jersey is the story of four men and a garden. Purchased by brothers Henry and Robert Tubbs in 1905, it was originally proposed as New Jersey's first arboretum in the 1930s. Under the stewardship of botanist Benjamin Blackburn and landscape architect Russell Myers, Willowwood became one of the jewels of the Morris County Park Commission and New Jersey's best kept horticultural secret. |
